Microclimate Classification of Bologna (Italy) as a Support Tool for Urban Services and Regeneration

A microclimate classification of the entire Bologna Municipality has been carried out in order to give a tool local administration drafting General Urbanistic Plan (PUG). The city was classified considering variation air temperature as function surface characteristics, vegetation fraction, building density and H/W ratio (height width). Starting from analysis with fluid-dynamic modeling (Envi-met) for some areas urban interest, correlated physiological equivalent (PET) make well-being resident population. An map normalized index (BMN) obtained support when private, public actors want regenerate part city, taking into account climate-centered approach development sustainability city.
